The LOOP and the Online Group at TVOntario

In 1992, Peter Herrndorf (now chief of the National Arts Centre) had recently taken over at this educational broadcaster and came to the conclusion that it needed shaking up in the face of the coming "500 channel universe".

He organized a retreat at the Wigamog resort north of Toronto for 100 key TVOntario personnel to confront the situation and generate solutions.

I was not one of the key 100. I was a video editor, who was doing some directing and writing on the side. But when I saw them come back with fire in their eyes, I knew something was up.
